COUNTY BIBLIOGRAPHIES: Wales

By clicking on any of the county names below, you can view a list of the books and articles relating to the history of that county contained in the Royal Historical Society Bibliography. These bibliographies are sorted by date of publication, with the most recent items first. They include books and articles about specific places in the county, as well as those relating to the county as a whole.

The counties used are the historic counties existing prior to the reorganization of local government in the 1970s. They are listed alphabetically and the list begins with links that you can use to jump to the counties beginning with a particular letter of the alphabet.

We provide separate links for English counties, Irish counties and Scottish counties.

All of these searches can also be carried using the Place index field on the Bibliography's Full Search form, where they can be combined, if you wish, with other search criteria, search as period covered or date of publication.

We would be pleased to hear about any works that are omitted from these lists; please email us (or you can fill in the online form).
